Professional rehabilitation and musculoskeletal support

Your horse’s health and comfort call for a comprehensive approach. In my work I combine modern technology with manual therapy to effectively reduce pain, support recovery and improve the fitness and comfort of movement of sport and recreational horses.

Manual therapy

What is it?
Classic, deep, myofascial and relaxation massage — individually selected manual therapy techniques that allow effective work on both the superficial and the deep structures of the tissues.
Who is it for?
For any horse (sport, recreational, young or a wise old professor) struggling with chronic stiffness, muscle soreness or stress, or in need of preparation for exertion.
Goal
Releasing muscular and fascial tension, improving blood and lymph circulation and restoring elasticity to the tissues. The result is an immediate sense of release and fluidity of movement, a visibly longer stride, a softer back under the saddle and deep physical and mental relaxation.

Kinesiotaping

What is it?
A method of applying specialist elastic tapes to the horse’s body which, by gently lifting the skin and fascia, work therapeutically 24/7.
Who is it for?
For horses returning to form after injury, dealing with swelling and windgalls, with muscular asymmetries, or in need of extra stability during intensive competition.
Goal
Safely supporting muscle function, reducing pain, offloading overloaded structures, stimulating deep proprioception and improving microcirculation. Kinesiotaping helps weakened muscle groups engage correctly, speeds up the reduction of swelling and lymphatic congestion, and provides a sense of stability without limiting the natural range of movement; in selected cases it also helps guide the horse towards a correct movement pattern through appropriate sensory stimulation.

High-energy laser

What is it?
A modern, painless physical therapy using a focused beam of very high-power laser light that reaches deep into diseased structures.
Who is it for?
For horses in the acute or chronic phase of inflammation (of the joints, back or hooves) and with soft-tissue damage such as strained tendons or ligaments.
Goal
Strong cellular biostimulation to produce energy (ATP) and non-invasive resolution of inflammatory processes. The therapy effectively eliminates pain and local heat and stimulates the production of healthy collagen fibres, which can halve recovery time and allows tendons to heal while retaining their full elasticity.

Thermal imaging

What is it?
A completely contact-free and stress-free examination with a professional camera that records the temperature distribution and infrared radiation emitted by the horse’s body.
Who is it for?
For horses showing sudden resistance under saddle, “pointing” a leg or working asymmetrically, as well as for preventive or pre-purchase examinations.
Goal
Producing a precise thermal map of the horse’s body and comparing heat emission between the left and right sides to detect hidden overload. This makes it possible to locate an inflammatory focus long before any lameness or swelling appears, giving clear guidance for planning safe, targeted physiotherapy.

Electrotherapy

What is it?
A treatment using safe, therapeutic low- or medium-frequency electrical currents, tailored to the patient’s specific problem.
Who is it for?
For horses struggling with acute or chronic pain of the spine and joints, and for horses after injury or with a poorly fitting saddle that has led to muscle wasting.
Goal
Blocking pain signals on their way to the brain (TENS) or inducing controlled contractions to activate weakened tissues (EMS). This translates directly into immediate, drug-free pain relief and the safe rebuilding of muscle mass and strength without loading the joints.

Joint mobilisation

What is it?
Precise, gentle and entirely safe manual techniques and passive exercises focused on the mechanics of the peripheral joints and the spine.
Who is it for?
For horses moving with a “short stride”, having trouble bending correctly, stepping under with the hindquarters, releasing the poll or cantering on the correct lead.
Goal
Restoring correct joint biomechanics by improving the mobility of the joint capsules and reducing restrictions in the periarticular tissues. The therapy results in an increased range of movement, improved elasticity of the musculoskeletal system, greater comfort in movement and fewer compensations and tensions affecting the horse’s work under saddle.

Chinese cupping

What is it?
An intensive therapy using negative pressure, in which a special cup draws up the skin and fascia, creating strong, localised hyperaemia.
Who is it for?
For horses with excessive tension in the muscles of the neck, back and hindquarters, limited tissue elasticity, fascial soreness, and weakened, poorly supplied musculature in need of regeneration.
Goal
Rapid blood flow and oxygenation of the tissues, breaking down tissue thickenings and speeding up the removal of lactic acid. It leaves the treated area deeply warmed, elastic and nourished, bringing the horse immediate release under the pressure of the hand.

Magnetotherapy

What is it?
A non-invasive treatment using a professional Biomag Vet rug, which generates a low-frequency pulsed magnetic field that acts on the body at the cellular level.
Who is it for?
For every horse — both sport horses during the competition season (prevention) and horses with degenerative changes or back pain (e.g. kissing spines).
Goal
Stimulating cellular respiration, speeding up biological recovery and quieting pain receptors. This provides even relaxation of the whole body, prevents stiffness after hard competition and brings long-term relief from chronic pain.

Ultrasound therapy

What is it?
A physical therapy using high-frequency sound waves that penetrate the deepest layers of tissue, producing a micro-massage and warming effect within them.
Who is it for?
For horses with old, hard post-traumatic scars, adhesions, chronic tendon contractures and deep swellings of the joints and tendon sheaths.
Goal
Reorganising collagen fibres, softening adhesions and stimulating the flow of body fluids. This breaks down and softens hard scar tissue, clears deep inflammation and restores full mobility in the sites of old injuries.
